Just didn't fancy anything in the house tonight so decided to order a curry. I've gone for a chicken jalfrezi, 1 poppadom & half a chapatti. No rice. Hope it will be ok.🙂

Ive just had a Chinese! Unfortunately I didn't go for any low carb option... I had chicken chow mein! Ive not had a Chinese in months so no idea how it will affect me. Probably terribly... Going to test after 1 hour and 2 hours.

Enjoy your curry and hopefully it won't be too bad!

You are brave! I haven't had Chinese since diagnosis. I'm scared.

Me either!! I'll let you know how it goes!

Just had my curry. God, it was spicy! Full of chillis. Very nice though. I'll test at 9.20 which is 1 hour after, then again at 2 hours.

I was 5.2 before curry. 5.6 an hour after.

Wow that's brilliant news! I'm up to 19.3. Chinese food is DEFINITELY off the cards for the foreseeable future for me :( good job I don't like it that much 🙄

2 hours afterwards. 6.6. I'm happy with that. Yours was a bit high Rosie. Thanks for testing it for me.😉 What was your BG before the Chinese?

You're welcome. All in the name of science 😉 it was 14 before!

was my sons birthday today so last night we had chinese sweet n sour mixed hong kong style and singapore rice noodles i was happy at 10.8 2hrs after meal prior to meal i was 7.8

Had an Indian myself last night. They've been OK in the past, but had one from a different place last night and went from 5.0 to 10.4 after 2 hours 😱

I think we've found the best in our area. Wife reckons it was the best curry she's had outside Bradford.🙂

Thanks for checking these for us!
I have avoided take always most of the time, but we did find one good Indian restaurant and there are times when it is irresistible. A grill for me and a bit of my husbands jalfrezi for a treat.

I'm glad you said "outside Bradford." I go to uni and work in Bradford (but live in Leeds) and whenever I go for a curry, I always go to Bradford. Takeaways are different as they wouldn't travel to mine! But as far as restaurants are concerned, Bradford is the best place to go!!

Being originally from Brighouse, I wouldn't argue with that! 🙂

I'm a "Norma nae pals" and find ordering a take away for one quite sad. Used to have a good Indian takeaway but it changed hands and yuk now
