Just tried ordering another batch of test strips for my GlucoRX Q meter. Usually get them from Amazon but out of stock and no date for when available again. Tried multiple other suppliers and it's the same. Anyone else having problems getting supplies?

I have 55 strips left, which would normally last me 4 weeks. If I stop testing post-prandial I can make that 8 weeks. Been considering dropping post-prandial testing anyway as I have built up a comprehensive food diary but I suspect the shortage is due to users stocking up for the lockdown.

Suddenly feeling exposed at the thought of being unable to keep track of my BG.

I can understand the sense of concern Martin, but as you say you have built up a good knowledge of what suits you, and successfully manage your diabetes.

i use a kinetic bg meter and have just been able to get another batch of test strips. they come direct from the manufacturers website.

Have you tried a Pharmacy, may have to pay more though!

I agree with @SB2015 , whilst you can't source any strips, just trust what knowledge you have gained already. Maybe err on the side of caution and just trim back the carbs a little more than normal (not sure what your current regime is at the moment though, so take that thought with a pinch of low carb salt).

Can you get them at pharmacies? - I don't have a clue.

I had to buy some strips for my meter over the counter whilst we were camping in roughly the Doncaster airport area last year Martin - painful! - £28!!! My own fault entirely for not putting a new box in the van, last time I exchanged money for any - absolutely years and years ago, over 20 years! - they were 'only' around £25.

Managed to put these in my basket and proceeded through to checkout.

Glad you managed to get some.
