Hello lovelies ,
I have my specialist Telehealth appointment tomorrow , hopefully I have kept her happy with my hba1c level progress and the other things she needs to keep an eye on . My doctor is happy with me and my progress so I’m hoping my specialist will be to . I feel amazing with myself , the other day at a family friends birthday I had 2 people notice that I’ve lost weight and asked how I did it . Even my doctor noticed that I lost weight aswell when I went to see her . I asked my doctor what my specialist meant by discharge and she basically explained it as That she technically doesn’t discharge me it’s more the fact of she won’t need to catch up with me every 6 months but still is there if I need her to keep an eye on me to make sure everything is still okay. So fingers crossed everything goes well tomorrow and no hidden surprises because I do not like them at all .

Wishing you all the best with you telephone appointment.

I first read your post as 'telepath appointment'...could save the NHS a lot !!!

so I just got back from my specialist appointment (Telehealth) appointment , I have to see her again in 6 months to see where my c pep (pancreas’s) numbers are at so redo what I did for my first diagnoses and see what they are , as she said it hasn’t come back to normal but she said not to worry or stress out it might be the fact mine may take longer to come back . So she will check everything again and hopefully I’ll be all good . She was abit hesitant when I told her my weight and I said I did it intentional with diet and exercise and she said she’s totally fine with that . She’s overall happy . And she’s happy with me taking 1 tablet a night with metformin and she seems to think that metformin and my c pep (pancreas) may not like each other . But she said just keep doing what you are doing and we will recoil at everything again in 6 months .

I’m not sure what she means but she said they don’t typical look at the numbers they see it as a hole person and what they are doing to bring back the diabetes back into remission.
