tattoo's with type 1

Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
im a type one and before i was diagnosed i got some tatoo's. Now i want more but i cant seem to get any information about the affect it wil have on my levels and after care.
Has anyone got any since bein diabetic???
 
It takes longer to heal...

No tattoos - but had various piercings as a T1! As a T1 it takes you slightly longer to heal - so there will be no problem - just so long as you look after them. You must post a pic of the results if you go ahead!😉
 
Tattoos & type 1

I've been type 1 for nearly 30 years and had a tattoo must be about 5 years ago. Had no problems with tattoo parlour doing it and had no problems with it healing afterwards.
 
when you had the tatto done, did you tell them you were diabetic pingu? i tried to get my belly button piered a few years ago but they refused as i was diabetic!
