A TAMWORTH couple whose daughter suffers with a life-threatening condition are to join in with an event aimed at helping to find a cure.
Drayton Manor Theme Park is hosting The Midlands Walk to Cure Diabetes event on Sunday, September 30, with registration opening from 9.45am.
And on the starting line will be Lisa and Nick Warren-Brownhill, whose four-year-old daughter Jaici was diagnosed in June 2011 with the condition.
Lisa, from Kettlebrook, said: "When Jaici was diagnosed our lives were turned upside down. Every day is an uphill battle to try and keep her blood sugar levels as close to normal as possible.
"Bad control will lead to many complications later in life. It has been very hard coming to terms with the fact our daughter now has a life-threatening condition and we hope a cure will be found in the near future.

A bit late to be publishing this the day after the walk!
