AN eight-year-old girl is set to walk up two of Britain’s highest peaks to raise funds for Diabetes UK.

Tamara Hubbuck, from Bulford Camp, is planning to walk up England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, and the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.

She said: "I am looking forward to climbing Scafell Pike and I know it's going to be extremely hard. The bit I am looking forward to most is getting up to the summit and looking out at the views. Most of all, I hope I will have raised some funds for Diabetes UK."

Tamara was inspired to carry out the challenge for Diabetes UK after her grandmother was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and a friend with Type 1 diabetes. Tamara hopes to raise £200 for the charity.
