Hello, I’ve had reasonable BG control over last two years but now getting High and Low swings! I have been less active over the Christmas period, is this likely to be the course?

Welcome to the forum @Featherstep

Yes it could be, but diabetes does just like to move the goalposts for no apparent reason at all too 🙄

When I was going to the gym regularly every so often (eg when the kids were on holiday from school) the rhythm of the house would change and I’d stop going for a while. After about a week of no-gym it seemed like my insulin sensitivity would shift and my doses would need adjusting.

But sometimes they must need changing and adapting anyway, just because of changes to the seasons, to levels of stress, temperature, or just because!

Are you confident to tweak your basal dose and meal ratios yourself?
