lets hope it does come out over here some day so many people are been classed as t2 without been tested and that includes me.

if they are going to tell us we have diabetes then at the very least we should be all tested to see what type not just labelled.

That was exactly my immediate thought about sorting out all those incorrectly diagnosed as type 2.
 
It has been mega expensive to do though in the past, involving the vial of blood to be sent to the lab at Exeter University Hospital - and not every NHS lab does it even now. Still a test that takes time - not an overnight job. Wonder how accurate such a device is going to be?
