Hi, Thanks for the info, I have completed the Dafne course and learnt alot, I have made many changes to my insulin dose, with and without the consultant's input. I have made great strides but what works this week with my I/C ratio will not necessarily work next week. I must admit I did spend most of my time and trials on my bolus regime but that led to very erratic BG. I have now read a couple of books from 'Consultants' and gained a few new insights so I have managed to put together a new regime for my basal insulin and will be starting new trials so fingers crossed. I will get there eventually, its just a slow process but I have time, thank goodness for Libre.Sorry to hear that you are regularly having hypos at night @1oldgal
Hope you can adjust your basal insulin (and/or perhaps take it at a different time of day?) so that you don’t need to snack before bed and live in fear of overnight lows all the time 😱
Have you had access to any kind of training or education in dose adjustment?
Something like DAFNE or BERTIE (both now available online and remotely)
DAFNE (dose adjustment for normal eating):

BERTIE Online carb-counting course:

thank you for your help 🙂
