I was feeling very complacent and self satisfied and looked forward to my six month review because I assumed everything was fine. However I had a phone call yesterday from the surgery to make sure I had an appointment with the nurse so immediately went to Worryland and thought something must be wrong. Just back from the appointment and yes she was pleased with me and I am now off the Metformin and continuing with the diet and exercise control because my Hba1c was so low. There was a problem with my urine test which showed a high for Albumin Creatinine Ratio (whatever that is!) but the nurse explained that as I usually get up a couple of times during the night, the value woud have been skewed and it was nothing to worry about. I have lost 15Kg since last June and although the weight feels as though it is taking forever to go, I have a picture of myself from last August so I can see how far I have come.
Thanks for all your suport and valuable information. I don't post often but read the posts every day and always learn something.
Linda 🙂

Linda, that is absolutely wonderful! :D Well done, you've done so well! 🙂

Linda superb news well done x

Have a good weekend

Mmmmm - I've recently been looking that one up on t'interwebnet and supposedly, if the results are off, it said they should re-test it with an overnight sample - ie you stay asleep as long as you possibly can, then when you really have to go - whatever you pass right then, is what they want cos if you only go a couple of hours between loo visits, it isn't a true picture. Usually with me, I only go a short while till the first one, then the next one with be around 5 - 6am. So that's the one for this purpose. Have receptacle ready the night before and no woman-traps along the way!

Then go back to bed .....

Always lovely to read posts like this Linda well done and great work 🙂
