Hi All. I am a type 2 diabetic. I've recently increased my Metformin from one a day to three a day in the last two weeks. I have found my legs are swelling and feel really uncomfortable. Anybody else had this?
Edema (or oedema) is a build up of fluid in the body (water retention) which causes swelling. Swelling commonly affects the legs, ankles, feet and wrist.
Thank you for the information. I had read a few articles but just wondered if it was caused by the Metformin. It has only happened since the increase. You're doing great with those numbers by the way.
