Hey guys. I went on my first girly night out after diagnosis last night. I wore my heels like any girl would but my feet swelled and hurt like hell. Has anyone else had this? Or know anything?

Thanks guys.

Hi Jenna, sorry I can't help you regarding the heels, being a bloke. Might it be down to being unused to wearing them and dancing + alcohol + hot venues?

If you don't normally wear heels, you could have a bit of soft tissue inflammation especially if it was hot in the venue. I used to get swollen ankles whenever the weather warmed up when I was bigger, to the extent that a prolonged heatwave would invariably lead to cellulitis. Take care, and see the doctor if they're still puffy in a couple of days - sooner if the killer heels gave you blisters.

If I am on my feet a lot my ankles swell when it is warm. I find if I can put my feet up for ten minutes every so often it helps. See the doctor if things don't settle in a day or two
