for a year or so i have been taking sweeteners in my tea I have probably 6 cups a day and I have also been suffering aches and cramps in my hands and to a lesser degree my legs and body -- I gave up sweeteners 4 days ago after reading about some alarming side effects -- and since there has been an amazing difference in my condition the cramps and aches in the morning have all but gone is this just in my head?

Well at least you will enjoy the true flavours of tea & coffee now that you've ditched those sweetners.

Think we can all react to something or other, so if you feel much better then it's a possibility that those sweetners were cause of your discomfort.

What sort of sweetener was it?

Does it matter? The aches and pains have gone. And whether that’s a sort of placebo / nocebo effect or that your body actually didn’t like the sweeteners too much - I’d count it as a win either way! :D  :star:

Hello, and thanks for replying to my post. I have been taking Hermesetos mainly because they are low in carbs, to some degree, which by the way, I had no idea this is the case with sweeteners, they are 2nd on the list to Stevia for the best of the worst sweeteners, that I've read which probably means nothing :( by the by I have stopped now and its just another challenge thanks

Yes, you are absolutely right in this health adventure of mine. I'm trying to be more optimistic and accept what seems good to be good. Thanks

Absolutely! Looks like no sweeteners works better for you. Hopefully you’ll continue to enjoy those ache-free benefits!
