Sorry if this so ridiculously to ask , will artificial sweeteners effect BG levels , the same a normal sugars used to sweeten drinks and those found in fruits.

Unfortunately the answer is that some will for some people, and some won't for some people.
Like affect of carbs in food, the only way to know for certain (for yourself) is to use a Blood Glucose meter and test!

Personal examples:
I do know that I'm OK with small(ish) amounts of Stevia - I use it to make stewed rhubarb with Greek Yogurt more palatable.
But I'm not OK with even a raw medium sized granny smith apple (much less sweeter varieties) or a raw medium sized carrot (much less a cooked one)!

I’ve never seen a BG raise from the artificial sweeteners in things I drink (eg sugar free squash, diet soft drinks).

I don’t eat things with maltitol / polyols / sugar alcohols in them because I’d rather have the real deal, and the gastric fallout, wind and loosening is horrendous!
