So I'm reckoning a milk tray sweet has around 8-10g carbs wow that's going to take me a while to get through the box adding one to a low carb meal treating myself to one after lunch tomorrow, I have been really strict with myself should I treat myself to a cake some day?, is it ok to do so? x

Yes, you can eat whatever you want. The secret is to do it in moderation.

OMG had one of my milk tray sweets salted caramel one it tasted so good but felt a little bit naughty haha x

Yeah? - that's BRILLIANT!

After all - a box of chocs IS supposed to be a bit of a 'slightly naughty' treat for anyone not just diabetics - cos nobody should eat em with gay abandon since treating any foodstuff this way leads on to it becoming so utterly commonplace it can lose it's initial excitement and appeal.

Because of rationing when I was very young, matched with the accompanying lack of money followed by slightly more money but still not that much 'really nice' stuff in local shops (more on offer in larger towns and cities but again going to either of our nearby ones Birmingham one direction and Wolverhampton the other but the latter was nowhere near as rewarding LOL) I've never really lost that 'Oooh - aren't I naughty!' feeling I had when I helped myself to another biscuit or whatever, as a child, after ascertaining my mother couldn't see or hear me whilst perpetrating the felony.

It's a really GOOD habit to get yourself into IMHO - after all as my grannies - so your great grannies - would have sung to us both whilst adjuring us to look after ourselves by eating properly, exercising and taking good care of both our clothes and skin - 'Stay young and beautiful, it's your duty to be beautiful! Stay young and beautiful - if you want to be loved' LOL

Keeping relatively slim and healthy is only one weapon in the toolkit of life!

It was so good as predicted my BS was higher by tea time though but I deserved one lol x
