Hello everyone.

I've been taken off of Ozempic recently and my GP has prescribed Mounjaro instead.

Has anyone in a similar situation been told of a waiting period between ending one medication and starting a new one? I did my last ozempic dose a day ago, the nurse has booked me in to take my first mounjaro dose with her supervision tomorrow. Does anyone know if this is too soon?

Thanks for reading.

One source suggested that people start the new medication 1 week after the last dose of the other one to allow it to get out of the system.
There was some research where people had tried 3-10 days without problem. There may of course be a risk of side effects from a new medication because they have a different active ingredient.
