A local high school teacher convicted of dangerous driving causing three deaths in 2009 received a suspended sentence without jail time Friday.
Allan Maki, who has Type 1 diabetes, experienced extremely low levels of blood sugar and likely went into diabetic shock when his vehicle struck a cyclist and a newlywed couple in a series of collisions on York Boulevard on June 26, 2009.
