Please help if you can.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the questions.
They were obviously taken from standard literature rather than by somebody with T2D who has actively monitored their own BG and the effect of carbs , proteins and fats on those BG levels.
Thus I have probably answered some questions wrongly because (for example) I strongly disagree that the calories from Fats and Proteins should be as low as the survey suggests. Naturally I also strongly disagree that the calories from Carbs should be anything like as high as the survey suggests. I strongly disagree that I only drink sugar free soft drinks - because I never drink a carbonated drink! And so it goes on.

I can see that the survey results will lead to false conclusions, particularly where people like me answer it i.e. those who have put their T2D into remission using LCHF alone (no medication)!

Hi Ian

I do apologise with the poor quality of questions. Unfortunately the questions have to be backed by literature. The answers you have given are exactly what is wanted, honest and real life experiences.
It sounds like you have a really good understanding of the importance of diet and the role of carbs proteins and fats.

Well done on putting your T2D into remission through diet alone!

Best wishes,
Becky

@BeckyK - the people on this forum are in the main folk who have decided to learn more about their diagnosis and what they themselves can do to help themselves and hence we provide the education that the NHS mostly fails to provide - especially to Type 2 diabetics since T1s are relatively well provided for education-wise these days. We're always mega pleased when GP surgeries advise the newly diagnosed to join the forum !

I quite agree with you and that's really interesting to know thank you!
