Relationship to Diabetes
Just asking as a survey I guess...

What would your blood sugar level around 2 hours after the following -

40g of home made popcorn
1 tiny chocolate coin
2 large pieces of dark chocolate
0.5l of green tea

Nobody can answer that unless they conduct the test to be fair lol, plus there are many factors to be considered, for example someone using insulin may be able to lessen the spike by delivering the insulin at a good time, going for some exercise after eating may reduce the spike, so I don't think anyone is going to be able to answer this haha xx

1. Depends on what it was before hand 🙂
2. Depends on how each persons body responds to carbohydrate/glucose load - which is different for each person.

The main item I see there is the Popcorn. A quick lookup tells me that popcorns about 80% carbohydrate with a glycemic index of about 70. So that 40g of popcorn is 32g of carbohydrate which would convert quite quickly to glucose - that would be enough to send me a good 2 or 3 mmol higher - which sadly for me, would mostly be maintained till the 2 hour mark. The rest of the items would have a negligible impact for me.
