Telephone call yesterday teatime asking if I had received a letter to stay in for 12 weeks, and whether I had been expecting one? I answered truthfully No and No. I just have anyway, cos my husband is challenged in the lung department so no way am I inclined to do anything whatever that could risk his health.

She said they were tasked with investigating why anyone on the list the NHS had, had not registered with the website to indicate whether or not they needed help and because I hadn't even visited the website (Pete had separate instructions to do that and did) they were ringing to check - apparently. Lady sounded slightly Irish, but not blatantly as it were.

How odd.

i received 2 letters and think they tried to call but to be honest it was filed under bin due to no help from anyone. the theme of no help seems to be widespread around my area. i have seen people outside my local shop in distress from lack of help and i have never seen so many disabled people waiting outside, very sad to see this going on.

I waited 5 weeks for a letter then a week later another arrived. Weds I received a food parcel from the government, the driver refused to take it back so I gave it to my elderly neighbour. I'm coeliac so even if I wanted the parcel none of the food was of any use to me anyway. I spent most of yesterday trying to find a number to ring so I could make sure no more gifts! arrived.

If anymore arrive I will ask in the local shop as to who they think could make use of the food, so at least it isn't wasted.

I was kindly given a delivery slot for 10pm if I wanted to shop online. I thanked them kindly and said no thank you I was normally in bed by then.

Bottom line is I shall carry on as before shop once every two weeks and that's that.

I got a free bag of goodies from the local charity last week. Not that i needed anything particularly, but it also contained an N95 face mask, which was a surprise. That went to my son-in-law, who is the mobile one in our bubble
