Cakes and croissants are too big, warned the public health minister yesterday as she launched a crackdown on obesity.
Anna Soubry said efforts to reduce supersize portions in supermarkets and restaurants should form part of a wider move against overeating.
Her comments came as she unveiled plans for a traffic light labelling system that will put red warning logos on foods high in fat, salt, sugar and calories.

Miss Soubry will hold talks with supermarkets, manufacturers and health groups today to start working out what the labels will look like.
