A YOUNG Wearside woman has seen determination to overcome disability land her a new job.
Jenny Dimmock has Down?s syndrome ? but hasn?t let this hold her back.
After completing her studies as part of a pilot project - Project Choice ? the 21-year-old has landed a permanent job working in the pathology laboratory at Sunderland Royal Hospital.
Gateshead College worked with City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to deliver Project Choice and ensure disabled people gain the skills and self confidence to succeed in the workplace.
