Good Morning
It's 6.48 on a Sunday morning and this is my first post on here.
Why I'm wondering, considering most sensible UK folk are still tucked up in bed at this time on a Sunday and yet I'm sat here typing this message.
Why after 13 years of being diagnosed with type 1 have I decided to sign up and post a message on this forum. Maybe I see how much it seems to help others share what they are going through, maybe not.
However when I woke this morning I felt the urge to post, to put words on a screen.
I'm not sure where I go from here ...maybe being able to discuss with people who deal with the same doubts, denials, positives, negatives, frustrations, hopes etc. that come with living with this condition will help me focus on what I can do to make things better.
From reading a number of posts here my sugars are erratic in comparison and my Hba1c is embarrassing - but I didn't post this message to focus on negatives, I'm not looking to hide behind excuses. I'm here to take inspiration from others, to learn and adjust and get things balanced as best as I can. Although the help and advice I get from my care team is very helpful I'm hopeful speaking to others who face the same challenges will bolster my resolve to improve where I can.
It's easier to follow a path if others have already trodden steps first.
Everyone seems very welcoming here and helpful which I guess is what I was looking for.
Cheers
Mark
