I have recently (last week) started injecting Humulin M3 twice daily and been advised I should have a min blood sugar level of 8mm/l before going to bed.
At home this is not an issue but I am often away for 3 days in a hotel. Can anyone suggest a suitable snack?
Are a few nuts suitable
Hotels used don’t have 24 hour room service.
Thanks in advance

Nuts don't contain carbohydrate, so won't help to raise your blood sugar if it's below 8mmol/l before bed. So, a packet of buscuits is probably better.

Jelly babies, biscuits, anything with carbs in. Perhaps something that will enable you to resist overloading.

The trick is to find out how much carb you need to bring your level up, then just eat that much.
Useful carb counted snacks without too many calories which also travel well include:
Raisin boxes (the small ones they sell for kiddies) - 10g
Alpen Light bars - sold in Poundland for a box of 5 - 10g
Fun sized apples sold for kids’ lunchboxes - 10-15g
Garibaldi biscuit - 7g

The Nature Valley protein bars have just under 10g in each, and they taste good.

Absolutely delicious, but relatively high in calories if that’s an issue for you.

I work away from home a lot and always carry an assortment of Nakd bars with me for the late night hotel snack
I love the Bakewell Tart flavour ones

I find all except the gingerbread ones a bit carb heavy as they are packed with dried fruit.
