Suggestions for WIDE socks

So I've bought two types of diabetic socks in a quest to find a sock that fits me and doesn't make my feet uncomfortable.

The first kind I had just ended up shrinking and resembling cardboard, so they were gone.

The second kind are better in terms of resilience but they do tend to pill quite badly and I often have to pull out lumps of sock loose inside once I can feel it.

My problem is that whilst my feet are size 12.5, I have quite wide feet which is what I think caused my problems with the first sock type I got. I wasn't aware at that time that I had wider feet. I now buy trainers from New Balance in size 12.5 with 4E width.

So my question is can anyone tell me of, or recommend, a site selling diabetic socks that are suitable for the wider foot? 🙂

I would also suggest searching out Halls socks - sometimes called HJ as they are or used to be UK's leading sock manufacturer so if they don't do something appropriate they might be able to recommend someone who does

(Their main factory is down the road from where I grew up - socks are massive there 😉)
 
Hi shambles. Thanks for that. I'll look at those. Not sure how I can specify 4E socks though. I've just contacted them to see what they say. Amusingly I've noticed that I'm about 3 miles from their shop in Harrow so I could pop down and see them!

HJ Halls socks are the ones I'm currently wearing. Very comfortable but they just pill like crazy inside and I don't like walking around when I can feel big 'blobs' of material under my feet.

Haha. Yeah bit silly that they list widths but don't let you select a width!

Hopefully we'll see what they say when they get back to me.

Cosy feet do some nice socks, the socks come in standard and extra room fittings.
 
Got a reply, quite basic really. Asking if I'd prefer cotton or wool socks. And that was about it. Not much to say to me.
