Suggestions for stinking cold

Feeling Groggy today as am in the grip of a right stinking cold!
Has any one got any suggestions what a type 2 diabetic can take for stuffed up head colds that does not contain sugar and will not send my sugar levels through the roof!
Been taking Echinatia tablets that have liqourish in them and no sugar! but they do not seem to do much at all.

Plenty of sugar free fluids, lots of warm drinks. Paracetemol for the temperature and the aches. I was told things like lemsip or beechams Hot Lemons are Ok because the sugar content is minimal, but don't take with other paracetemol products. If you feel up to going out, the pharmacist will be able to advise or phone NHS Direct.

Id say hot orange or blackcurrent goes down a treat , just keep the fluid intake up hun

Thanks guys,
Just boiled me head with Olbas oil and hot water! Phew! nearly blew my socks off!
As I don't like fruit juices and am wary of taking sugar free medicines, Ive been drinking tea like its going out of fashion. TA V. much anyway.
