Every so often I want to check my BS and I am nowhere near somewhere I can wash my hands.

Is there a handwipe I can use which does not affect the test strip?
Anything containing propanyl alcohol or lanoline might affect readings.

I just buy anything that's alcohol free, it usually says on the packet.

Also 'accu-chek sterile cleansing'. They come in boxes of 10 sachets. I thought at the time they were a bit expensive but I don't use many. It says 0.9% sodium chloride. Alcohol free.

In really bad. I just lick my finger before readings.

How about a small bottle of water plus ordinary tissues?

Probably end up considerably cheaper than any wipe alternative.

Andy 🙂

Yeah. When my hands are really really sticky I do that.

I just use Boots own perfume free sensitive wipes - figuring if they're going on new born skin, will be fairly free of any nasties.

Having 'tested' different types / brands, get the same readings, after use, so just go with the cheapest ones (Boots own).

I can't always wash my hands, so always have a pack with me.
