I know it absolutely doesn't help you now, but I have one of these outside, meaning I have access to a "spare" key, should I need it.

The location of the key safe isn't too obvious,to Joe Public, but I know where it is, and I know what my code is. I must admit I had my safe having left my house keys in my car, when I put it into the garage for service.

Bus company just phoned - bag handed in, intact!!!!!!

Off now to collect it

Thank God - also my thanks to everyone for your kind wishes xxx

Oh thank goodness for that Hazel, may I suggest you change your locks just in case they have been copied in any way just to be on the safe side.

Hazel me darlin' you may be a clutz but you are our clutz. It is fantastic news that you have got it back. To let you into a little secret I lose stuff on a daily basis. Salmon fishing reels worth loads of dollar melt into vapour on an almost daily basis. The piece de resistance for me was when I parked my car on a multi storey car park and yes you guessed it correctly, I lost it. The vehicle is pretty large and black and not the easiest of things to misplace. Sue's suggestion of replacing the locks might be a very prudent idea. After the obvious stress you must have gone through last night I suspect the last thing you need is yer hoos turning over. Stay safe me darlin 🙂

Oh, thank heavens! I'm glad to hear you'll get everything back.

Oh and, a key safe is a great idea. We keep a set a of keys for next door and they have ours and it has been handy a time or two.

Key safe purchased and my friends who put me up last night have offered to hold a spare key. So I am sorted. Woohoo

Huzzah! Good news!

Obviously I was worried about the contents, but most of all the insulin and my AccuChek Nano, which is no longer available.

Considering I had no insulin for 24 hours, I though 7.6 was quite good

Phew, glad you've got everything sorted, and congrats on the BGs despite all the stress and no insulin.

Hurrah for decent human beings!

You might want to invest in a cross body bag. If you're actually wearing it then there's no risk of leaving it anywhere. It also means that your hands are always free.

It was a cross body bag - just a klutz me. Old age is showing up

It must be such a relief Hazel. Isn't it lovely to know that there are such kind and honest people around. Good BGs too all things considered. Now I hope you can have a good weekend. 🙂

Bottle of champers on the house in the Banting tonight if you drift over. Nothing better than celebrating properly. We'll make sure you remember your handbag when you leave...😉

Wonderful news Hazel. I've been worrying about you all day! 😉 Some decent, honest people still around unlike the little scroat who snatched mine off me. Police got him eventually though.

It certainly is - but sadly no name was left for me to thank personally - but I can't tell you the relief
