Hello

Just wanted to update you (particulary Northerner) that from Monday I start on MDI. 2 x background per day (Levemir) and then 1u of NovoRapid for every 10g of carbs.

I am also now on the D.A.P.H.N.E course waiting list - hooray

Have a few days to practise the carb counting before I start on Monday (note to self do not read the Calories amount by mistake in the Carb & Cals book instead of the Carb amount - if it had been a real day of injecting NovoRapid yesterday I would have injected 17u instead of 8u - oops)

Fingers crossed I start seeing my levels coming done soon. I know I will make mistakes but Im just glad they agreed to change my regime to what will hopefully be more flexible and help me managed by levels better.

Will keep you posted if I start seeing positive results (or negative ones) - and thanks Northerner for giving me the confidence to go to my DSN and be assertive that the regime I was on was just not for me and my lifestyle.

Melissa x

Fingers crossed for you xxx Were you on the mixed before?
