Daniel Graber, a Central School second-grader with juvenile diabetes, had an important message for his fellow students when he addressed them at a recent assembly.
?I?m just like a regular kid,? he said, ?but I have to take my shots and test my blood.?
When Daniel joined the rest of his school for a walkathon to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on Feb. 24, he proved to be far from ordinary when it comes to fundraising and promoting awareness.
The Central School community raised a total of $4,184.66, with Daniel?s personal efforts bringing in an impressive $1,500.
