morning caz and welcome to the forum ...i too was a very lost and lonely T2 for a year before i found this place ...you will get lots of friendly advice and support here.x🙂

Welcome Caz. I feel lucky as I found this forum immediately after diagnosis and have no idea how it would be trying to get through completely alone.

They are a good bunch on here and I find I read more than I post.

Hi Caz

I'm another Type 2 (diagnosed 2005) single Mum with a Type 1 son! I just wanted to say hi to you and welcome to the forum.

I really don't think about my T2 as I should. T1 has taken over our lives and been a real bumpy road since my son was diagnosed 4 years ago. We don't have any other family so no support network however you find so much support and advice online now it's not really a problem. Unless you live with diabetes you don't understand the difficulties involved which makes it better talking to people who understand rather than hoping for support from those you don't anyway!

Hi Caz and welcome. You'll make friends on here, all willing to give you support and back up. 🙂

Hi Caz

Welcome to the forum. I found this site brilliant to help me come to terms with diabetes I hope you do too x

Hello Caz,

Welcome to the forum from me too. 🙂

I had a few dodgy moments to start with (and perhaps am still subject to a bit of denial even now). However, I changed my lifestyle, upped my daily exercise, lost some weight and am now feeling much more active and in control (with the occasional blip!).

You're certainly not alone here and are amongst friends who will provide you with some really good support.

Andy

Hi, thanks for your welcome. i haven't looked for that book yet. I'm not one of the most organised of people, hence the delay in replying! I had my blood test yesterday, to see how i'm getting on with metformin. I see my nurse next week, so we'll see. I am prepared for bad news! Thanks again. I hope to make friends on here, someone that knows exactly what i'm going through is just what i need.

Hey Caz, we're always here 🙂 Hope the tests are better than you expect - let us know how things go .
