Yep, thats what mine are like...but was given cerazette yet again..and its failing lol!!
I wonder if I can have the injection....as I am only allowed the mini pill...due to having migraines and the fact that my Mum died suddenly when she was 33 of a stroke....(never known someone healthier either) xx
Hmmm I'm not sure but if it's something your interested in I'm sure your HV would be able to give you advice or when you manage to register with a GP its been great for me and my mum too (although she has hit that age where they don't know if its the injection or the menopause now) but it was the injection a few years ago lol xx

@BrokenPancreas1994 I'm also on cerazette and also have horrendous periods (once had one for 14 weeks...yes...you read that right) - very long, heavy, and painful, so bad I would pass out. I'd tried almost everything (including depo provera injections) and the only thing I found that helped was to go on a double dose of cerazette. I now take 2 x a day and it's completely stopped them. It's been a life saver for me. You may find doctors raise their eyebrows when you mention it as it isn't a conventional treatment but mine were happy to let me try it providing I had periodical reviews. I really struggled with depression when I was younger and getting that under control helped me massively. I hope this helps! xx

Oh really twice a day??? Is it not classed as an over dose?? Did it help with the moods?? I had a period for a full 3 months...and my GP told me to just carry it on....errr no, especially when my Diabetes consultant told me that my Iron levels were dangerously low!! I keep stopping and starting the cerazette (well desogestrel) and after a day, I am incredibly moody and angry for no apparent reason!!) xx

Yes, instead of taking one at the same time every day I take two - I open two packets at a time so I don't confuse myself with the days lol. I suppose it is *technically* an overdose but honestly I think there was something hormonal going on anyway for my periods to be so crazy, as well as the migraines. I found the first week or two was quite rocky in terms of moods but I stuck it out and I'm so glad I did - it really helped a lot. The migraines improved (although haven't stopped - cutting out caffeine and alcohol was a big one for reducing those) and I now don't have to stress about it - it is such a relief! I'd definitely discuss with your doctor and see what they think. I don't think they fully appreciate just how miserable it can get being in this situation!! xx
