Hi Slipper,

Thank you for your kind comment and yes have just rested for a couple days so hoping to be out but slow the pace down a little tomorrow morning.

Hi Lucy,

Swimming is something I used to love back in the day (way back) but not something I could consider at present. Ideas are always gratefully received though!

I really wanted to share my news with you all as I really am jumping with joy today. I have reached my 1st stone off this year so far! 😱

I set weekly targets for myself which I have felt so much better doing, have not been setting my sights too high as being mindful of what was said before that it's a marathon not a sprint. My target last week was only 1lb but got on the scales this morn and dropped 3 which picked me up so much.

I had a really busy one yesterday, came home and things got worse. I just wanted to binge as a result (triggers of which I know about and also how to combat them now), I fought against it so much last night and Mr Roo bless him was there to support as he always does and we got through it and am so glad I didn't do it for many reasons main one being I wouldn't have dropped the 3lb!

I also had my Hba1c results back too and was pleased as was my GP

BG 6.7
Cholesterol 3.3
BP 137/78
Retinopathy left eye some background
Right eye none (was before)

Knee is doing not so bad and taking little exercise now. I can't believe in just under 2 months how things have turned round and I am so chuffed. I am also starting a course through the National institute of mental health on Monday at Nottingham Uni, looking forward to it as have waited 18 months for this so things are really looking up.
