How high are your BGs going . If really high , it would be best to speak to your team/ nurse.

I have found that after an illness it can take a while for my BGs to settle back down, luckily I am on insulin so I have the right meds’ to help keep things under better control .

Do you take medication to help you manage your diabetes @Billy Bob ?

One of the most direct things you can do to help reduce your BG levels is to reduce the amount of carbohydrate you are eating - not just sweet or sugary things and fruit, but also the proportion of starchy carbs like bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, breakfast cereal, grains, bakery items etc.

Do you currently follow a low/moderate carb approach?

Hi I have been on low carb high fat for over 2 years now
I spoke to my diabetic nurse today and she has told me to up my gliclazide which I wasn't on pre covid and up my metformin so I will try this for a couple of weeks and hopefully she said my bg should come down ?
I'm still struggling with breathing a bit after spending 5 days in hospital been home 10 days now so taking it one day at a time
