totally fed up my repeat script is now for only 50 strips, this means i will have to order two scripts a week, which take a week to come, to manage, i have sent an extremely strong but polite email to the surgery regarding this, i know i am not alone in this..... grrr rant over

Hope they realise how ludicrous their restriction is!

I was half expecting some comments about my latest script - for 300 accuchek strips and 50 freestyle, but no problems. That's how it should be.

I would imagine the doctor will get fed up of signing so many prescriptions eventually - what a pain! I hope you get somewhere with your complaint.

With our GP every 6th repeat you have to see the GP, whatever the repeat is for. So does this mean you have to see the GP every 3 weeks too? Ridiculous situation. Hope you get it sorted very soon. Do you drive? Explain the DVLA require you to test EVERY time you get in the car, so on top of regular checks you need to check twice a day just to drive to and from work etc. Good luck.

lol john you do make me chuckle..... i have spoke to my dsn who is going to write to my dr again. the surgery have not replied to my email at all and yes i drive which is part of why i was so annoyed about this as i felt it could lead to a point where i would have to not go out on the odd occasion due to no strips.....
