Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I am a diabetes type 2 person. Something strange has happened over the past 10 days.
10 days ago I had two arterial stents inserted. It seems this has effected my diabetes. First I found it was unnecessary to have my morning insulin injection. Then my blood sugar level was stabilized on only one tablet. Over the past two days I am neither injecting nor taking medication but my blood sugar level is ok. Has anybody else experienced this?

Hello @Cedric72

That sounds very unusual! Have you asked your GP about what is happening?

I've no idea in truth but I just wonder ……. you know if someone's internal organs - which obviously includes the pancreas - haven't been getting a jolly good flow of oxygenated blood constantly - would they still be able to produce the same amount of insulin that they would have done when their circulation was A1?

Probably pure fantasy - but I'd certainly ask the very next doctor I saw why, if I were you!
