Over the last couple of months my blood readings have dropped I take humilin twice a day and nova rapid before every meal was told to take 14 units and if bloods are high take two units more.
The last couple of months my blood levels are so good I have to check they don't go to low which is scary .
The crazy part my diet has not changed and my excercise is less .

Saw a consultant on Tuesday he has no idea what's going on .

All he said was maybe the covid jabs are having an effect which they are waiting to hear .

Seems the specialists have no idea

My basal requirements dropped by about 20% following my second jab and, five months later, have not returned to my previous levels.

My feeling was that as long as I know how to adjust my basal levels, the reason is unimportant: my levels are rarely the same from one month to the next.

Sometimes things just change and you don’t know why, that’s diabetes for you! If you need less insulin now just go with it. The weather is getting colder too, that can have an effect, as can many other things.

Yes, I have to tweak my basals on average every 2 - 3 months.
