Hi Everyone
I am new here not actually called Amandajaneamanda, but while registering the extra Amanda was popped on the end!
Anyway, although diabetic myself, (more about me later) the question I have is for my mother. She is 78, has been type 2 diabetic for 10 years, on Metformin and also Lantus once a day. She is to have a CAT scan on Thursday and has been told to stop her Metformin on Wednesday and not resume taking it until the following Tuesday after seeing her Dr.
Is this normal procedure? I have had CAT scans myself and never come across this, although it was quite a few years back. She is concerned about her bloods going high, due to lack of meds.
Has anyone had an experience of this, it would reassure her.
Thanks
AJ
