I stopped injecting 6 months ago. Using FSL have lost weight and on recent HbAc1 registered 7.4 mmol/L. Not had any Hypoglycaemia episodes in that time. Should I inform DVLA about my situation in order not to have to comply with testing every 2 hours when driving?

Hello @tedlambert welcome to the forum.

It really depends on what medication you are on, if you can elaborate a bit more
on your Diabetes medication we can help you, take care stay safe.

No medication just low carb diet.

Well done with that, inform DVLA you are no longer on medication and I`ll presume you are on
a 3 year medical license? in which case you can get a normal license restored. They will probably
check with your Doc because they don`t believe a word we say and you will have to fill out a form,
may take a bit of time but thats DVLA for you.

In the mean time I suggest you keep on testing until they give you the all clear, hope this helps.

Take care stay safe.

Yes 3 year license. Thanks 4 advice. Not driving much at present.
No problem thanks for joining keep in touch we`d love to hear about your Diabetic journey.
