Hi Friends

it was may i was DX, and although i feel good today (been cleaning too ), i am usually tired, and cold,

i went to see the nurse monday for my HBa1C, and cholestoral taking, she asked how i was.

i told her that i feel cold a lot, and was it down to me losing 2 and half stone?
could be she said!!
and i feel tired a lot.
oh right...she said!!

i thought after i should have pushed it a little more, but she is just a general nurse...and wanted to ask on here, if the feeling cold is with losing weight?
and even though my numbers are usually good can at times have a week of feeling very tried?

i get my results tomorrow hopefully by the way
any thought would be gratefully recieved

thank you xxx

Possibly the two most likely explanations for feeling cold are losing weight and over active thyroid (see http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Thyroid-over-active/Pages/Symptoms.aspx) I know that I don't feel the cold as much now as an adult within BMI 20 - 25 as when I was a very skinny teenager.

Worth making an appointment with GP to discuss HbA1c and cholesterol results and describe symptoms. They may well suggest a blood test for thyroid hormones - and may have other ideas that I haven't thought of.

The cold could be the weight lose..

But did they check out your thyroids, an underactive thyroid can produce similar symptoms, feeling cold, tirdness but in generally it does mean that losing weight is very difficult though.. But has you lost weight still shouldn't rule this out..

When you get your results ask if they checked the thyroids function at the same time, some clinics/gp's do this automatical check thryoid function as standard part of the bloods, others don't if your's don't I would ask for your thryoids to be checked out..

If the thyroid function is normal, then it's the weight lose..

i know they checked my thyroid last time and all was well,

its an expensive thing this losing weight 😉

heating on higher!! after buy new clothes :D

thanx for your replies xx
