Got the result of my eye screening, which took place on Tuesday (& I was told it would be 4 weeks until I got the results!), saying that I have no signs of diabetic eye disease.

:D:D:D

Still complication free after almost 21 years. Got annual bloods in Feb so who knows, that could change, but right now I'm just thanking my lucky stars I'm still in one piece! :D

Well done Shiv - although I'm bound to say I reckon there's got to be more than an element of luck - or genetics? - in the draw. Nevertheless - a huge relief every year!

40 years in July, and 'Diabetic changes' in my eyes which I've had since the mid 1990's, are the only complications, if you even call it that, I have.

Think Sue is 'more than 40 years and nothing at all'.

Well done Shiv. Long may it continue. Hope it helps to know I've got to nearly 34 years and nothing to report bar minor laser 18 months ago. But all good on last check since Hb dropped.

Some members on here even longer with no probs.

I'm sure you'll get to old age fighting fit.🙂

Rob

Well done Shiv, glad all is well for you and long may it continue.🙂

47 years for me with no complications end of March for me. So it proves it's not all doom and gloom developing diabetes.
