Hi,

Hoping this is the best place to post....with a view to providing some encouragement to other newbies !!

Since discovering the forum in August and discussing information found on it, with diabetic nurse / doctor in September, at annual review, have been testing for the last month and following advice / suggestions by fellow D's....

I have seen a big reduction in BG readings and have been aiming to try and maintain consistent levels.

Well, today, I've reached what I think is a big milestone.... Having started with readings in the 20's, I have today got my six readings - all under 10 !

I know it's a work in progress and still working on it....but I am absolutely thrilled to be achieving these kind of readings, after such a relatively short time - considering actual diagnosis a couple of years ago....

I have gushed about how fantastic this forum and the information / advice (& people!) on it has been....and today just goes to prove the gushing is well deserved !

Just hoped getting such positive results might provide some encouragement to other newbies....if you've found yourself here, however and whenever you get here, it's a wonderful place to be....

I'm again extending thanks to the members for input / advice / support....

That's great news, Helen. I am similarly newish to the forum and taking control of my D, but it seems not to take long to get good results 🙂

Helen, I am so pleased to see this and hear about your progress, thank you for posting your encouragement! I am sure there are many people who will find themselves in the same position as you and it will give them a real boost to know what is possible 🙂 Of course, it also needs the hard work that you have put in getting to grips with things - I am so pleased to hear of your terrific results - well done! 🙂

That's great to hear Helen! 🙂

this place is special cos its a 'SUPPORT' forum ...and especially because of the 'we're all in this together' attitude ....learning from each other 🙂
