Hi, I am a Type 1 diabetic, for 19 years, fairly experienced as you would imagine but that doesn't always mean perfect - I have a sweet tooth!! Anyway, I experienced high sugars due to pregnancy and somehow dealt with them but now I have been (a week ago) diagnosed with Acquired Hemophilia which is a very rare blood disorder, hopefully treatable by Steriods, a large dose!!
I have been told that the steriods could make my sugar levels very high, they are but only in the evening, 19+ is a standard one
I am doing trial and error increase in my Novorapid and thats the only advice the diabetes nurses can give me as everyone is different. But its quite daunting, not knowing what to expect or how bad/better things are going to get.
I would love to hear from anyone who is or has been on steriods and your experiences. Thank you.
