Statistical reporting about ‘Critical care bed capacity and urgent operations’ cancelled. COVID19

I’m not sure what you’re getting at here. Your thread title suggests that urgent operations have been cancelled because of Covid 19. What the link is actually saying is NHS have suspended reporting of statistics on cancelled operations during the Covid 19 emergency, This chimes with what is happening at my daughter’s place of work. She’s been furloughed for three months because her job is collating and moderating reviews left by patients after hospital appointments/treatment, and the NHS has understandably made the decision that during the present emergency, they won’t hand out any review forms, or send any in for analysis.

I’ve updated the title so that people don’t get confused.

Hope these data are still being collected for analysis after the pandemic is all over. I agree that we don’t need the reports right now, but I think it would be very useful information to assess the scale of the impact later.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for sorting. That was the sentiment I was trying to put across, about hoping that the stats are kept up to date. This is peoples health and lives that are being disrupted and forgotten about.
