Has anyone used spurulina? Been reading about it and benefits can be significant although it was an American site. I never know if information is truthful or an advertising gimmick.

Start with the assumption that it is a gimmick and you will not go far wrong with any of this stuff that claims to have "health benefits".

I hadn’t heard of it, but a quick skim of internet results suggests those who are marketing it say it will cure pretty much anything you care to mention, while clinical research papers are a bit thin on the ground, and those that I found seem to see modest results and ‘more research needed’ from papers that are over 10 years old.

For example https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3136577/

So my ‘scam-o-meter’ is ringing bells I’m afraid.

The same seems to be the case for the majority of the ‘superfoods’ and ‘supplements’ that are marketed to people with various illnesses unfortunately.

I think your misspelling as 'spurulina' is very appropriate here - because I believe it really is a spurious thing!
