Speeding driver says diabetes was reason for hurry

An officer was driving on Fort Street, near the Greentrees Apartments, at about 6 p.m. Sept. 24 when he noticed a 2001 Ford Explorer disregard a traffic signal. The driver, a 37-year-old Riverview resident, said he was in a hurry to go to Burger King due to him being a diabetic.
