Spain has set a new transplant record by operating on seven patients described as being in ?emergency zero? who would have died within 48 hours if they did not receive a new organ. The seven operations were carried out in 24 hours on June 2 thanks to the generosity of ten families.
Three of the cases were cardiac, three were the lungs and one was a liver. One of the seven patients was a child.
