I have been struggling with my BG spiking after breakfast, for the last few days I have switched from cows milk to soya and no spikes! Has anyone else found this? Hoping it lasts.

I drink Alpro unsweetened Almond and Roasted Almond like water to be honest straight out of the fridge, the same way I used to drink regular milk. I love it.
I am now puuting it on my morning cereal here. The only issue I have with it is in coffee it doesn't go so well for me. Other than that I think it is fabuous stuff and zero carbs.
I use KOKO dairy free as an alternative to milk. Its soya and lactose free made with freshly pressed coconut milk. Great for baking ~ with coffee ~ on cereals etc. Tho I'm not keen adding it to tea.
I find soya milk curdles in coffee. Tastes ok but doesn't look very nice. I still have cows milk but only a splash. I also have unsweetened almond milk.
I am going to try almond milk tomorrow. It's quite a bit dearer than soya though. We get our soya milk from Aldi, only 59p a litre. I put soya milk in coffee the other day!! Agree, it looked grim but tasted ok.
I use soya milk but have the sweetened version as the unsweetened is a bit bland. It's not exactly full of sugar though as 100ml only contains 2.8g CHO i.e. next to nothing of naff all. It sometimes curdles in coffee and yes, it doesn't look nice. Apparently it's to do with the acidity of the coffee and the heat. I've found not having the coffee scalding hot and slopping in the soya milk can help to prevent it. Different coffees have different acidity levels and some brands of soya milk are better than others. I haven't had too many problems with the Aldi one.

I wouid check the carb content of Aldi's I have thought about trying it but f I rememeber correctly the carbs are 3 o4 gr per 100ml
I like to drink it as is sstraight of the fridge, lots of it lol so I find the Alpro more suitabe for that. Saying that the stuff I am using in Shanghai is 3.4gr/carbs per 100ml and I have that on my All-Bran and it is really nice and little effect.
