Hi everyone, I really am sorry that I don't get on here more often. I don't seem to get on the computer at all as much as I used to and I don't post very often on the stroke forum that I am part of either. There's no excuse really, just don't get round to it and life seems so busy. I think I've slowed down a little since the stroke - perhaps I've learned that rushing around trying to do everything isn't really such a good idea but I do feel guilty sometimes.
paul is now working more sensible hours so I don't spend every evening on my own and that was one of the times I used to come on here and on facebook! He doesn't start work till 12noon so he tends to hog the computer in the morning, the laptop isn't well (!!) so we aren't using that at the moment.
I've had a rough time of late with the diabetes being out of control and causing me all sorts of problems but with my GP's help it is now a bit better. I was losing my hypo warning signs and becoming totally fed up with it all. The doc suggested I increased my long acting insulin and reduce the short acting with meals and that has reduced the number of hypos so I recognise the signs better and more quickly again now.
I've been getting out and about and learning to build in some rest days as I do get more tired than I used to. Things are ok right now I think and it's a relief to say that!
Even though I don't come on here much I do think of you all and wonder how you are. you are not forgotten, I just can't seem to do all that I would like and you know how it is - a quick pop on the computer leads to several hours browsing and suddenly I wonder why I am dizzy!
Anyway just wanted to catch up with you and let you know I hadn't dropped off the face of the earth!
Lots of Love, Karen.xx
