i have 3 or 4 sore spots on my scalp which start healing then because they are sore/icthy i start picking at them. Its become a visouse round of heal a bit sore pick at them Any hints to help me please no stop doing it , its not that simple I understand diabetic sores/cuts can take longer to heal

Hi Gail

Could it be your shampoo or a styling product that's causing the raw spots. I get little blisters on my scalp if I use shampoos with harsh foaming ingredients, they dry up and go a bit crusty 🙂eek🙂 but remain itchy for a while.

Aloe Vera gel is good to cool them down to stop the itching but hard to put on the scalp, otherwise anti-dandruff shampoos often have ingredients in them to soothe itching so that might be worth a try. My doctor prescribed a cream for me to get rid of them and it worked but they kept coming back, which is how I worked out it was shampoo. I use naked shampoo now from boots because the foaming agent is dead gentle and I haven't been bothered by them since. Hope the itching isn't too bad.

Have you had them looked at Gail, to eliminate eczema and such things? - if it's something like that, it can be triggered by anxiety etc.

Get them checked out Gail it could be eczema/psoriasis and this can be brought on by stress. Nizoral shampoo i get on prescription

It sounds like what I have with my scalp. I get them all over and they get itch and I scratch. Sometimes my scalp gets so sore. And if any flakes land on my face my skin on my face gets it to. I have dermatitis and Nizoral shampoo help. You can buy Nizoral over the counter but it's quite expensive.
